Inadvertent God Intersections

Have you had the experience of crossing paths with someone unexpectedly and, before you knew it, there was a God moment? It might be that the person is very open and responsive to hearing the Gospel. Or perhaps you run into a friend who is going through a difficult situation and you were just the person they needed to connect with.

Our intersections may be inadvertent and unplanned on our part; however, God knows just the right timing for our personal connections. This is why it is so important for us to start our day with prayer and Scripture reading. We never know who we might run into that day and their need for that very word from God.

We aren’t chosen because we are the most theologically sound or spiritually mature. Rather, we are chosen because God knows that our experience and knowledge of Him can be beneficial to those He sends our way. God knows the thoughts of all people, and He knows just the right person to represent Jesus Christ.

In those moments, we will have two simultaneous discussions: one with the person as we listen to them and one with God as we are asking Him for wisdom and discernment on what to say. The Holy Spirit will prompt us in the right direction as we learn to hear His voice and respond in obedience.

Another consideration is that we remain in right relationship with God and not live a carnal lifestyle that will contradict what we say. Our lives are a witness of God’s grace, presence, and influence. We are the walking evidence of the Bible by what we say and how we live.
