Oh, that we would humbly pray

Holy Spirit, come our way,

Fill this house, with your great power

Direct our worship in this hour.

Holy Spirit, take control

Satisfy my hungering soul,

Be our strength, be our guide

Let us now in you abide.

Distract our minds from temporal things

Let heavenly thoughts rule and reign,

Help us lift our voice in praise

And honor you in all our ways.

That we may now the comforting

Thy Holy Spirit can truly bring.
